It was confirmed once and for all that DVD/Blu-ray sales for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 would begin on February 11th, rather than the usual March slate, just in time for Valentine's Day.
Today, a few further details are in, including instructions as to how to get a coupon for the discs, hints at DVD release parties to come, and possible international release dates and information for the DVD/Blu-ray.
First, the Breaking Dawn website has details regarding their ticket stub promotion for a coupon. Basically, you can take a phone picture of your Breaking Dawn - Part 1 movie ticket stub and e-mail it in to receive the coupon, which gives $5.00 off for the Blu-ray version and $3.00 off for the DVD version. Full step-by-step instructions for that can be found here.
The site also hinted at the fact that there'll be midnight release parties in place for the Breaking Dawn - Part 1 DVD/Blu-ray. They've got a "coming soon" box on the site which indicates that there'll be another party tracker device installed pretty soon to help fans find the nearest participating locations. No word yet on whether any of these will be attended by the cast or musicians.
Finally, the Robert Pattinson fansite Spunk Ransom compiled known information and links for international sales of the Breaking Dawn - Part 1 DVDs/Blu-rays, including the following countries: Australia, France, Germany, Norway, South Africa, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Head here if you're looking for DVD/Blu-ray information on those locations.
